The 11 Hoyt Sales Gallery featured a scale model of downtown Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. Users could highlight aspects of the neighborhood with colorful projection mapping by touching one of the five categories available in the backlit, touch sensitive strip at the bottom-right corner of the model. The goal was to create a contemporary feel with capacitive touch sensing and a look reminiscent of older technology that relied on backlit shadow boxes.
In addition to designing and engineering the interactive map, I helped engineer and install several touchpoints throughout the gallery. The entrance featured a wall of framed tablets that could play themed slideshows selected from a CMS. Near the interactive map was a touch table that allowed users to display content on a nearby LED wall. Each of 3 sales rooms had an LCD that sales agents could use to show renderings and floorplans using tablets to navigate through content from the CMS.
